Hello my name is Sandi Ray and I am thrilled to be your child’s 3-year old preschool teacher this year! I am a graduate of Albion College where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and then I continued at Saginaw Valley with coursework to receive my specialization in Early Childhood Education (ZA endorsement). I taught 2nd grade for 5 years at St. Paul on the Lake before having my oldest child and taking a break from the classroom. This is my first year back and I am so excited!
I have been married for 15 years to my wonderful husband Kyle, who is also in education. We have three children—Kenny (12), Colin (10) and Quinn (8). The boys have attended St. Thecla since preschool and are going into 7th and 5th grade here this year. My daughter Quinn has special needs and attends another school, but you will be sure to hear her in Mass praising God! We all love being a part of this amazing and supportive community! We are big sports fans and you can usually find us shooting hoops in the yard, playing wiffle ball/bliztball, golfing or on a walk!
My hope for your child this year is to have fun learning! I want them to enjoy coming to school and working with me and their friends. I also want them to feel God’s love and know that He is always with us. It is going to be a fantastic year and I look forward to working together for your child’s success!
