Hello, my name is Mrs. (Monica) Lawton, I am so EXCITED to be a part of the St. Thecla Preschool TEAM.
I am a graduate of Mary grove College, and this is my 35th year of teaching in the Archdiocese (27 Kindergarten, and 8 Preschool/Pre-Kinder.). I received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a specialization in Early Childhood Development (ZA). I have also attended Oakland University, Saginaw Valley State University and Madonna College for post graduate courses.
I have been married for 30 years, my husband (Gordy) and I currently reside in Royal Oak. We have an AWESOME son who is 19 years old (Cameron Michael), he is the absolute joy and light of our lives. I enjoy family camping adventures, fishing (Up North) and going to the movies. My family and I are big MSU fans (GO GREEN, GO WHITE!) I take pride in my vegetable garden and tending to my flowers throughout the Summer.
This is my third year at St. Thecla and I am beyond BLESSED to be a part of the St. Thecla FAMILY.
