Principal Geoffrey Fisher

Hi, my name is Geoff Fisher and I have the privilege of being the principal here at St. Thecla! I am humbled and honored to take on this vocation and I cannot wait to get start the 2017-2018 school year.

I have been married for seven years and I have one son who is 16 months old. I have been a parishioner of St. Blase in Sterling Heights for almost 30 years. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and History from the University of Detroit-Mercy, and a Masters in Education with a focus on Educational Leadership from Oakland University.

This will be my 11th school year in Catholic education in the Archdiocese. I started as a teacher at St. Clare of Montefalco in Grosse Pointe Park. There, I taught grades 5-8 along with a year as the resource room teacher. I was acting principal for a semester as our principal was out on a medical leave. The following year I became assistant principal and then for the last two years I was principal.

I am very much looking forward to getting to know all of the students and families here at St. Thecla. The few I have met have been very warm and welcoming. I am very excited to work with Fr. Brian and all the teachers and staff. If you want to explore our school, or just pop in and say hi, please don’t hesitate to contact me at

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

God bless,

Geoff Fisher
