Catholic Services Appeal

This year our CSA parish assessment/target is $112,348, an increase of $11,728 (12%) compared to last year’s target of $100,620. Thanks to your generous donations we have been able to reach our target during the past two years. We need your continued generosity and a little more this year in order to reach the increased assessment amount. If we fail to meet the CSA target, the shortfall will be taken from our weekly offertory donations. If we exceed our target, every dollar in excess of the $112,348 target stays right here at St. Thecla.

We are asking that each family consider a donation of $350 toward this years target, either as a one-time payment, or in the form of a pledge that can be paid over the next 9 months ($39/per month).

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

The CSA offers many options for pledge payments. Donors can save paper and postage by making pledge payments online at www.give.aod.org or  call (888) 331- 8695 to make online gift or EFT requests.

***If you make an online gift be sure to turn in your pledge card so that we know you have made a donation.***

Donors can still make payments through the mail. Beginning in July, the Archdiocese will mail monthly reminder envelopes directly to donors for payments by check. Each monthly reminder will include their pledge and payment progress. (Please make checks payable to: CSA )

For questions, please call the Archdiocese CSA office at: 1-313-596-7330

Our Holy Father has invited all Catholics to renew their personal relationship with our Savior, as “the joy of the Gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus.” In this spirit, the theme of the 2017 Catholic Services Appeal is Opening Doors to Encounter Christ.

As our theme suggests, Jesus encourages us to examine our lives and reflect on how we may experience a deeper, more personal relationship with Him. At the same time, He also asks that we open doors so others may also have this personal encounter with Him.

Each year, our CSA brings us this opportunity. Together, as Christian stewards, we live out the Gospel mission of our Church through our support of the CSA. The ministries, programs, and services our annual appeal funds reach every soul in our six-county Archdiocese, strengthening urban and rural faith communities alike. No one individual or parish could possibly accomplish all of these good works themselves! Truly, the CSA transforms our diverse family of believers into, in the words of Pope Francis, a “band of joyful missionary disciples.”
